Search Engine Optimization
and Website SEO 101 By Enrique De Argaez,
Matt Cutts works with Google and frequently gives advice and tips
that help webmasters do their job better. Many of his comments are
available in video format at You Tube. Below is one of such videos.
Matt comments about the importance of frequent updates as compared
with content quality. How much does frequency play into PageRank for
blogs and other dynamic sites? Is the content more important than
the simple number of posts per day or per week? These and other
questions are addressed. This video has captioning. Enjoy...
In essence, Matt says that it is indeed much more important to have quality
content, but frequency can be a nice thing to have for the users. It is implied
that you are better off in terms of search, if you wait until you can
deliver some value to a post, rather than just crank stuff out that
isn't that much different than stuff that's already out there. Quality
is always priority one, but don't think that freshness doesn't count.
This strategy is likely to be more successfull.
…And that’s all for now. I hope that this 101 has
been useful and given you a quick view of the secret tricks of
the trade that may help you get that much-needed edge over your
competitor in search engine rankings, without skipping a beat or
spending an arm and a leg.
